early 1960s eames lounge chair and ottoman herman miller vitra herman miller for fehlbaum / vitra original from early 1960s. Swivel. Rio pallisander rosewood wood veneer (not in production for more than 30 years since the logging and import of riopalisander was banned in the early 1990s (cites list)), from then on vitra and herman miller used touch-up santos rosewood... However, the real enthusiast and investor always looks for the most beautiful riopalisander version. These have a higher market value on the vintage market. The veneer is overall in very good condition, not broken, completely original and untouched condition...This chair is therefore over 60 years old! Overall very nice. Original black leather in overall very good condition. Footstool cushion has some craquelee and signs of use typical of this chair (see photos) but can last a long time, very sturdy leather. Chair is very comfortable, the cushions are original filled with down and foam. Fantastic seating comfort! In short, a chair with character and a beautiful vintage patina. excellent seating comfort. pick up viewing in case of serious interest by appointment, delivery can be done by the whoppah team or in some cases by our own transport service.
