Product description
This iconic photograph is part of the "Migrant Mother" series by one of the most influential photographers of 20th century, Dorothea Lange. Later, Lange gave this account of the experience: I saw and approached the hungry and desperate mother, as if drawn by a magnet. I do not remember how I explained my presence or my camera to her, but I do remember she asked me no questions. She said that they had been living on frozen vegetables from the surrounding fields, and birds that the children killed. This fine art quality print is part of an edition 5 of 25 pieces, released in 2024. The photograph is printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 310g paper. Includes a certificate of authenticity and gallery stamp. Origin of negative: Library of Congress, Washington, D.C. 20540 USA. Original neg. no.: LC-DIG-fsa-8b29516 (b&w film nitrate neg.) The photograph is sent in hardened package by trace and tracked post.
