Painter Dick Tasma (1951-2013). Tasma came from Nijmegen. He is an expressionist and romantic and lyricist in his approach to his subjects.
He found something to hold on to in the visual language of other cultures and their artistic expressions. His paintings show well-known and unknown mythical stories. For Tasma, they were images of all people and of all times.
