"In the mid-1980s, Reto Frigg developed the DS-450 sofa, in which the seat could be rotated 90 degrees, turning it into a kind of recliner. It was revolutionary and one of the most interesting designs of the time. I would have loved to have had the idea for this design myself!
So when De Sede asked me to develop something with them, this was the first design that came to mind. De Sede continued to work with other designers over time, but from this last design I expanded and modified the functions to achieve better ergonomics and a design of floating lightness. I didn't want to design a machine, but something elegant yet functional. Thanks to its delicate structure and wing-like backrests, the DS-480 is pleasant to look at from all angles. This striking object may appear somewhat masculine, but it is in any case an armchair-recliner-relax sofa for two that aims to polarize and which I find most beautiful in light natural leather"

Condition description:
The sofa is in top condition. There are only minimal traces of use on the leather. The upholstery is still very well intact.
No tears, stains or even holes on the leather.
The group comes from a pet-free, non-smoking household.
