Original Danish pendant lamp 'Divan 2' manufactured by Lyfa in the 1960s. This lamp was originally designed by Simon Henningsen for the Divan 2 restaurant in Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen.
This unique light is made of different metal plates with chrome on the outside and different colors on the inside.

As a designer, Simon Henningsen followed in the footsteps of his famous father, Poul Henningsen. He was the first real lighting architect to design the PH Artichoke, the PH 5 and the PH Contrast lamp, among others. Simon Henningsen took over his father's position as architect of the Tivoli amusement park in Copenhagen in 1948.
The lamp is in nice vintage condition with signs of use peculiar to its age. For example, on some of the plates on the inside the color is partially faded. However, in personal opinion this creates a nice patina. To safety, the wiring was renewed.
