Product description
George Nelson studied architecture at Yale University. A scholarship also enabled him to study at the American Academy in Rome. In 1944, George Nelson became design director at Herman Miller, where he became a key figure in American design: he designed furniture for the home and office and brought Charles & Ray Eames, Isamu Noguchi and Alexander Girard to Herman Miller.
The DAF is one of countless timeless designs by George Nelson and is considered an icon of Mid-Century Modern.
The chair has slight signs of use on the fiberglass frame, minor abrasions and inconspicuous scratches on the lacquer of the frame.
