Product description
Beautiful, sculptural counter balance ceiling lamp designed by Jan Hoogervorst (1918 – 1984) for Anvia Almelo in 1957. This is an early edition, with a frame and construction purely from metal, whereas later editions also include plastic details.
This beautiful lamp features a black lacquered metal and unlacquered metal frame, complemented by a striking red shade and handle (which holds the weight). Its design is ingenious; the lamp can be positioned in various ways by adjusting the weight at the end of the frame. By turning the small metal handle, it creates the balance the lamp needs.
In good working condition, original, with signs of usage that match its age. See all images.
Size: 64 x 187 cm, diameter of shade (open side): 27 cm.
Considering its age it is in a good vintage and original condition. See all images for a good impression.
