Rare original vintage mid - Century German "Tischlampe" by Cosack Leuchten.
In generally good condition. Some light signs of use / age on the yellow plastic shade. Light oxidation on brass parts (can be further polished if desired).
The founding of the Cosack company goes back to the end of the 19th century (1848). Back then under the name Metallwarenfabrik Tapp & Cosack. Founded by the brothers Egon, Friedrich and Theodor Cosack together with Gottliebe Tappe. Then specialized mainly in metal parts such as nails and ceremonial items such as crosses. Later, with the commercialization of the electric lamp they also began to produce modern lamps.
The Cosack company went bankrupt in 1984 but over the years acquired as many as 15 iF Design awards for numerous iconic design lamps.
