Corneille (1922-2010) was a Dutch painter and member of the CoBrA. Although largely self-taught, Corneille took art courses at Amsterdam's Rijksacademie between 1940 and 1942. At first he was heavily influenced by Picasso, but in 1948 he broke away from this and joined the CoBrA movement. He himself claimed that painting was not a hobby or work, but rather a vocation. This beautiful lithograph is in excellent condition. The beautiful black frame is not new, but is in good condition. Create your own wall mosaic (see last photo) and mix vintage artwork with posters, photographs and contemporary artists. This way you playfully put together your own inspiration wall in your living room or office.
