This rug was made by Corneille: Corneille Guillaume van Beverloo. Liege (Belgium) 1922-2010 Auvers-sur-Oise (France). The title is : Carpet Femme à la fleur Made of new wool, hand tufted, colored The size is 205.0 x 206.0 cm.

Corneille worked abstractly, but from about 1960 he worked figuratively with the familiar birds, women, and flowers as subjects. Corneille's art was inspired in part by his many travels around the world to North Africa, North America, South America, and the Antilles, among other places. Corneille's Figurative works often include women, birds, flowers, and characters.
This rug has hung almost exclusively on the wall. With our purchase, we received a certificate of authenticity. When selling, we are therefore happy to transfer it to the new owner.
On this wool rug, as the photo indicates, there are sometimes lint here and there.
