Coffee table the "Mug" by W.Rietveld in 1953 for the company Gispen. The coffee table still has the original glass with the accompanying two small dots created during production in the oven (see the zoomed in photo of the glass plate) The glass plate is a very good condition/smooth. The accompanying metal plate has been replaced by a plywood plate. No big deal as the first original Mug also has a wooden plate. This has been painted a light shade of yellow deserves a new coat. The legs are original (gray) but due to time certainly not flawless with traces of light corrosion. The supports on which both plates rest are original and in good condition.
