A beautifully designed coffee table made of solid teak. This design was created by the architectural duo Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen in 1956, during the heyday of postwar Danish modernism. The table was produced by France & Daverkosen, which later became France § Søn in Denmark. This design is another wonderful example of the craftsmanship of Danish furniture makers. The joining techniques in the base, the curves in the top, the "floating" top. Everything exudes sophistication and unprecedented class. The table can be extended by means of an extendable tabletop in black laminate. At the bottom of the top is the original emblem of the manufacturer. The table is in excellent condition and has a beautiful patina.
