Rare! Antique Spanish handcrafted small wall decoration, 19th century (1870). Christmas or devotional ornament. Carved wood covered with a thin layer of plaster or thick paint, depicting a Cherub or Putto, head of a small round child with thick curly hair and a pair of wings framing the face. Glass eyes! Brown in color. Black hair, slightly pink face, cream-colored wings. Significant visible patina of age, paint wear, a few very small chips showing the wood (quite rare and discreet), 1 slightly visible above the right eye in particular, discreet crack on the corner of the left eye. 11.5cm max width, 8cm max height, 5cm max thickness. Approx. 200gr. Antique and collector's item, rare curiosity.
