Product description
Manufactured WHO Steengoedfabrieken Velten-Vordamm, Velten factory On personal page: Stoneware Factories Velten-Vordamm, Velten Factory When 1920-1923 Labels CeramicsWerperParadise Garden Description Jug without lid Dec.29 (" Paradise Garden "); Decor: Charlotte Hartmann Material/Technology Earthenware, light sherds, castings, faienc painting Mass H: 19 cm. 100 years ago this beautiful jug was designed by a woman Charlotte Hartmann, herself a Ceramist, who was put in charge of this factory. The design is innovative for that time and could still be seen as modern design today. You can also find this Can in Velten's museum. There are a few other museums that hold designs by this artist. As far as I am concerned, a totally underexposed artist. She really deserves more attention. Enclosed in my sale, you will find as an extra a Terinne, of the same design. You get the Terinne for free because the color underlayment has caused color fade. How this is possible is unknown to me. I do think that the two objects belong together.
