Product description
Vintage Danish XL oval dining table with 2 extensions in full pine manufactured by CFC Silkeborg, Denmark 1970s.
- beautiful robust 70s design table that can accommodate up to 10 guests
- extended from round to oval with smooth metal sliding system by CJ Rosengaarden
- Labeled with logo of furniture factory C.F. Christensen of Silkeborg, Denmark.
This design is reminiscent of the robustly simple furniture forms of designer Rainer Daumiller, who learned his craft from Danish furniture masters Knudsen and Vestergaard. In recent years, Daumiller's designs are becoming popular again and people prefer more durable white pine in vintage design over dark teak and rosewood. Daumiller became world famous with the design of his pine armchair for Hirtshals Savvaerk.
The table top in full pine is removable and the legs consist of 2 separate parts. Comes with 2 extension leaves. Condition is very good with only some signs of use on the legs. The table top has been sanded back and stained for many more years of midcentury dining pleasure.
