Vintage Danish XL oval dining table with 2 extensions in full pine in style of Rainer Daumiller produced by furniture factory C.F. Christensen Silkeborg, Denmark 1970s. - beautiful robust 70s design table that can accommodate up to 10 guests - extended from round to oval with smooth metal sliding system by CJ Rosengaarden - Style of Danish designer Rainier Daumiller and was labeled with logo of furniture factory C.F. Christensen from Silkeborg, Denmark This design is reminiscent of the robust simple furniture forms of designer Rainer Daumiller who learned his craft from Danish furniture masters Knudsen and Vestergaard. The table was marked with the label of C.F. Christensen Made in Denmark. In recent years, Daumiller's designs are becoming popular again and people prefer more durable white pine in vintage design over dark teak and rosewood. Daumiller became world famous with the design of his pine armchair for Hirtshals Savvaerk. The table top in full pine is removable and the legs consist of 2 separate parts. Comes with 2 extension leaves. Condition is very good with only some signs of use on the legs. The table top has been sanded back and stained for many more years of midcentury dining pleasure.
