Fantastic wall sculpture by Belgian artist Paul Vermeire, probably created in the late 1960s. Vermeire worked with ceramics, among other things, and created figurative works typical of the time, but still very impressive when hung on the wall. This tableau is in very nice vintage condition and marked by its maker. The glaze is dark gray/anthracite with a small smear of gold here and there.
On the back some light paint damage (invisible), the front is glazed and completely beautiful.
