A secretaire in oak, model 'BE04'. Designed in the 1950's by Cees Braakman, manufactured by PASTOE, The Netherlands.
Unlike the 'BE03' model, the 'BE04' has its drawer on the compartment in the middle. This way it can be used as a writing desk. The secretaire has its signature wedge shaped legs and brass hinge. The shelves can be easily replaced using the brass pins.
The secretaire has been slightly restored and shows some traces of wear such as darker spots, but remains in good condition overall.
