This sofa was designed in 1992 by Roberto Lazzeroni for the hospitality industry, but is equally suitable for spacious homes. Large Flower is a round sofa with an extremely refined design that can be placed in the middle of a room or in the hall of a large hotel. A characteristic feature of this furniture is that it has no upholstered back. At the center of the round seat is a stand made of solid American walnut on which stands a double vase made of clear blown glass. The internal vase is supported by a structure of polished brass, which in turn rests on the external vase. The design is a return to the era and style of the 19th century, redesigned in a contemporary key: Lazzeroni's modus operandi calls for a transversal design approach inspired by a distant or near past, reflecting a wide range of influences. The details are rendered with great precision: the legs are reminiscent of the legs of an animal, while the polished copper leg tips allude to anthropomorphic forms.
