Rare vintage Cassina Bull sofa and chair armchair. Bull was Frattini's last project for Cassina. When presenting Bull, Frattini said, "Our way of sitting, both in the intimacy of our home and in the company of friends, has changed.... the backrest, seeking support at the point where the chair meets the backrest should have a round, inviting angle."
His description gave almost visual form to Bull's profile, which consists of a succession of progressively softer rounded lines from outside to inside.
Frattini chose the name to emphasize the armchair's round, segmented appearance, referring to the famous "Bull" from Walt Disney's cartoons.
Due to age, both the sofa and chair have user marks and the leather has been lived in. Small cracks and creases. On one is a tear and on the other a few scuffs that can be removed with some colored leather wax. Here and there are some wall paint splatters from remodeling that are removable. The legs have some scratches from vacuuming.
