Jihokera Bechyně - Statue, Canoeist - Brussels Style Design 50cm - Ceramics Iconic masterpiece of Czech design from the 1960s, which won numerous prizes at the Brussels Expo in 1958 and influenced the whole modernist design of the mid-20th century (famous designers Jaroslav Ježek, Jitka Forejtová, Jiří Černoch, Vladimír David etc.). This piece was designed in the 1960s by the Czech factory Jihokera, which at that time operated in the town of Bechyně. Beautiful canoeist in refined and light white ceramic. Statue has age related craquelé but is flawless and numbered at the bottom with 115. Length: 50 cm Height: 21 cm Depth: 19 cm Weight: 1730 grams
