Very nice heavy glass bowl by the famous Czech glassmaker Borek Sipek. Entire stands on 4 glass legs and tapers and with kind of prism inside. Signed Sipek on the bottom. Bořek Šípek (Prague, June 14, 1949- there, Feb. 13, 2016) was a prominent Czech architect and designer. He was known for his individual, unusual, colorful and rich style. He experimented with unexpected and usually opulent forms. In particular, his glass sculptures enjoy great fame. It is said of Bořek Šípek, that he is the father of "neobaroque." His architectural works and other designs are known worldwide.
