Large set of vintage leather bookends with patinated bronze horses trotting, Italy circa 1950. The bookends are of stitched dark brown leather. Each of the bronze horses is probably made of gilt bronze, but retains its unpolished patina. Both have a sticker marked "Made in Italy" at the bottom. The set may show some signs of cosmetic wear, but certainly not distracting, see all photos. It is a nice set to hold books in place. Size: high 17,5cm wide 19,5cm deep 11,5 Horse: high 14cm wide 16,5cm.
