Bobbin furniture originated in the late 17th century in the US, UK and the Netherlands. The legs and other details were turned on a lathe to mimic the appearance of a bobbin. This simple, distinctive shape has stood the test of time, crossing the line between the traditional and contemporary.
It is not recommended to sit on the chairs for long periods of time, but oh how beautiful they look! Put them in the hall or bedroom for a quick toss of a garment, or in another cute corner with a picture frame above them.
