Rare and very pretty vintage earthenware terrine featuring a large pale blue/pastel fish in a dark blue dish. Handcrafted - hand-painted - by Secla Portugal, 60s-90s. Collectible tureen intended for decorative use or cold terrines, not to be put in the oven or microwave, it can also be used as a box in a kitchen or bathroom. 16cm max length, 12.5cm max width, 6.5cm height for bottom, 15cm max approx. with lid (top of tail). Very good overall condition, one discreet repair (3mm varnish) on the base of the tail above the dorsal fin, a manufacturing defect under the mouth and on the stop of the tail, small lacks of color. Earthenware showing natural cracking due to changes in temperature or use, particularly on the lower part, relatively discreet overall, very clean appearance. Approx. 600gr.
