Amazing blue glazed ceramic crackle Mid - Century vase. This fantastic item was designed by Aldo Londi for Bitossi, Italy in the late 1950s, early 1960s. Marked Sardartis Castelsardo at the bottom.
This beautiful item is handmade in Italy with a hand decorated geometric design in glazed vibrant turquoise and cobalt blue colors.
Italian ceramicist Aldo Londi of Montelupo became art director of Bitossi in the early 1950s and created his famous Rimini Blu collection in 1955. This collection has more than 150 different designs, vases, bowls and animals, all glazed in bright blue and green colors with their characteristic and iconic pattern.
