A pretty little solid wood cabinet with some very charming details: its two beveled mirrors, its pediment featuring a hand-carved central element and its small interior drawer. It's designed to hang on the wall, but can also be placed on the floor or on a sideboard. Inside, it features an adorable little drawer divided into two compartments and two shelves whose height can be adjusted by means of a system of cleats to be placed on notched vertical rails. Given the beveled mirrors, which appeared in the mid-19th century, and the dovetailed drawer with plywood bottom, I'd date this little cabinet to the early 1900s. It's in good overall condition, solid, stable, no worm holes, the lock works (not sure if the decorative keyhole and key are the original ones), the mirrors are whole. But of course it doesn't hide its age and the marks of use that go with it: stains and small marks on the wood (the main stains on the wood will be barely visible, as they're located on the top surface or on the interior shelves) and on the mirrors (the most visible stain isn't so visible, as it's located in a corner of the mirror). I simply wiped it clean with a damp cloth, without adding any finish (wax etc.) to make life easier for you if you wish to repaint or sand it... This cabinet measures 88 cm high (including the pediment), 76 cm high excluding the carved front element, 26 cm maximum depth (at the cornice), 23 cm at the cabinet body, 60 cm maximum width (at the cornice), 54 cm width at the cabinet body. It weighs around 15 to 20 kg, so you'll need a solid wall if you want to hang it (it has two hooks at the back).
