This timeless lamp was designed by Robert Dudley Best in 1930 for the English company Bestlite. The lamp is attached to the holder by a slide rod with a pivot point. It can be adjusted in height, and tilted outward. This way you position the lamp exactly in the position you want.
This lamp was produced by Bestlite (later production was taken over by Danish company Gubi). This design has been exhibited in several museums, and was called the first example of English Bauhaus design by the Architects' Journal.
