Berber Beni Ouarain rug - Material: 100% wool Beni Ouarain rugs are the jewels of interior design. They have unique patterns and colors because they are handmade without following a set pattern. The weavers weave their interpretations of important experiences and events in their lives into the rugs; symbols of love, nature and happiness are often recurring elements in Berber rugs. The naturally intense colors, such as blue, red, orange, yellow and purple, are obtained from plants and berries, such as the henna plant, pomegranate, fig and tea leaves, which grow in the Atlas Mountains. The natural black color comes directly from the wool of the sheep and goats in the mountain areas. To maintain its quality and softness, the rug is traditionally washed with soap and then dried in the sun. This process ensures a pleasant and soft texture.
