Le petit voleur du souk
Marseille, France
Product description
This is an ancient, unique, rare and sought-after carpet that is becoming increasingly rare with time. Beni Mguild is a Berber tribe of the Sanhaja branch. This tribe originated in the Sahara, and since the end of the Middle Ages has been advancing northwest through the Middle Atlas, finally occupying this territory at the end of the 19th century. Beni Mguild carpets are very well maintained, having been passed down through several generations. Made during the sometimes harsh winter months, Beni M'Guild rugs, originally used for daily needs, are one of the main sources of warmth and insulation in the homes of Berber tribes. Beni M' Guild rugs are a favorite of connoisseurs, decorators and interior designers. Each carpet has imperfections and an irregular Abrash appearance, as the manufacturing process is traditional and ancient. Shades are due solely to the passage of time. In fact, it bears some of the marks and signs of wear that give it its charm, and bear witness to its history. You can be sure that you're buying a timeless, authentic and traditional piece. Beni Mguild. Berber tribes of Morocco. Age: approx. 30-40 years Approximate dimensions: 287 x 190 cm Thank you in advance for making sure your rug is available.
