The Bofinger table and chair, also called BA 1171, were designed in 1964 by architect and designer Helmut Bätzner. The Bofinger stacking chair was developed into the world's first one-piece plastic chair made of fiberglass-reinforced polyester that was mass-produced in a single pressing process over a steel mold.
