This abstract drawing was created with fineliners and acrylic markers by Arwin Kortleever (b. 1961) and is straight from his studio. The drawing is original (2020) and no replicas have been or will be made or printed. The drawing makes comes without frame or other finish.
Kortleever is a Dutch artist and completely self-taught. From the age of 14 he has been drawing purely with shapes and colors. The drawings arise without a preconceived plan and are given names that he bases on the thoughts that occupied him during the creative process. In addition to the drawing, the buyer also receives a short story about the meaning of the title of the work.
Kortleever lives alternately in Arnhem (NL) and Málaga (ES) and has exhibited in both cities in the past. Selling the work he usually does at art markets. There he draws "live" and thereby enters into conversation with interested parties and buyers.
