This Artistica Murano CCC lamp base of Murano glass from the 1950s-1960s in the shape of a fish is just fantastic. The lamp base is made with Sommerso glass.
Artistica Murano CCC made this lamp, the company no longer exists. There is nothing about it except some other old glass pieces. At some point the name was changed to Cristallo Venezia CCC.
Sommerso or submerged, is a form of glass with layers of contrasting colors. They are formed by dipping colored glass into another molten glass.
This Murano glass fish combines red glass with a layer of clear yellow glass, all in the shape of a fish.
The Murano glass fish lamp is 25.5 cm high, 12 cm wide and 8.5 cm tall. The fish is in very good vintage condition, no scratches or cracks. The socket has probably been replaced once. The wiring appears to be original.
This lamp does not have a brand sticker. However, we found a similar specimen that did have the sticker on it (see photos for authentication).
The socket fits a regular E27 incandescent bulb, 40W max or LED. You can add a lampshade as you wish.
