Product description
Oyster F157 designed by Pierre Paulin in 1958 for Artifort (Netherlands). This chair is a true Dutch Design Classic. The metal legs are slightly angled, the tub of curved plywood seems to float above these legs. A soft layer of molded foam has been professionally reupholstered with a beautiful light woolen fabric, no boucle. Which perfectly matches the soft shape of this Oyster. The Oyster F157 is an elegant, playful chair. Not dominant in form, but special.

This French industrial designer has created several designs for Artifort, but also for Thonet. A number of his designs are included in the collection of the Centre Pompidou in Paris. This design best fits the Oyster in terms of form language. The frame is original to ensure authenticity, this frame is finished with the original aluminum paint not like the later version in chrome. It is possible to touch up the dark spots on the frame but originality has now been chosen.
