The Artifort Congo was designed by Theo Ruth in 1952, making the Congo a fine example of playfully executed design from the 1950s. Designer Theo Ruth was inspired by Congolese tribal seats, i.e. African chairs. Two interlocking parts keep each other perfectly and firmly in balance.
The armchair is newly upholstered in Kvadrat's Razzle Dazzle fabric.
