This modestly sized lounge chair from 1953 is as rare as it is timeless!
Theo Ruth has united simplicity and quality here: two elegantly shaped beech wood elements, ingeniously connect the seat and loose back.
The wood is in new condition with beautiful patina.
The interior consists of typical early 1950s material such as crin, jute and feathers on a slightly bent plywood shell. This method of production literally gives the armchair weight. Everything is handformed with high seating comfort as you would expect from Artifort. Naturally padded where necessary and finished with new materials.
For the upholstery we chose a.distinct furniture fabric with two weaves in gray and green patterns on an ecru background.
In short, a Dutch design of the past, an eye-catcher in the interior of today!
My label ATELIER D2A stands for the restoration and custom re-upholstering of Mid - Century armchairs. Durable, with expertise and high quality.
