DESCRIPTION: This unique 2 seater sofa designed by Geoffrey Harcourt is a design with a story. Originally from the Netherlands, this design was widely used in the Netherlands but also in Germany where they were used in many hospitals, waiting rooms at the doctor's but also at the airport in Dusseldorf. In 1890 Jules Wagemans (1866-1943) established himself as an upholsterer in the Witmakersstraat in Maastricht. His son Henricus Wagemans built the company into the furniture factory "H. Wagemans & Van Tuinen".In 1928, the brand name "Artifort" was introduced, which stands for "durable art". The sofa was designed with the black tube made of steel as the support of the whole. With aluminum legs and clamps, everything is attached to this tube. The seats are padded and finished with high-quality black leather. All the stitching all around is made with great craftsmanship. On the side you will find the brand name Artifort just like the sticker at the bottom. In short, a beautiful sofa for the lover of design.
