The management has been handed down from father to son for many years, since 1904. While initially mainly small furniture was designed, the company has innovated and specialized over the years. A new period was started, especially under the leadership of Willem van Ast, in which external designers came forward with unique designs for the company. Tables became the company's trademark, but furniture that is needed around a table can now also be found in the collection. Sustainability plays an important role for Arco. For example, it now has a 'Local Wood' line, where wood is collected from the nearby area. And everything is made in-house; in the factory in Winterswijk.
