1st Edition JJM Hoogervorst Counter Balance, Anvia, 1955 The first edition of the sculptural counter balance ceiling lamp designed by JJM Hoogervorst for Anvia Almelo in the Netherlands in 1955. This lamp is an early edition from the 1950s and differs from later editions in that it is made entirely of metal, with no plastic details. The lamp is completely matte black and a heavy weight. This innovative system was developed by Anvia, one of the best Dutch lighting manufacturers of the time. The lamp is in good condition and has been recently restored, making it a splendid specimen. The dimensions of the lamp are 66 cm in height, 200 cm in width and 33 cm in diameter shade. Not 100% in original condition, but 97%. Further fitting and cord replaced.
