Two Araks cigarette boxes, 1900-1910s.
Among the Armenians who fled the first world war was the Tchamkerten family, who decided to build a new life in Antwerp. They set up a company here, specialising in the manufacture and export of cigarettes, with the brand name Araks.
Added a picture of the former Araks factory on the Plantin and Moretuslei, Antwerp.
