Superb original 4 drawer notary/archive cabinet, probably 19th century, belgian made. Inside, all metal scrolls are still present, with wooden sliding plates in 2 drawers. This allowed archives to be secured like a book plan holder and prevented the archives from falling forward or backward. This system no longer works optimally. This cabinet was completely cleaned and oiled, nothing more was done. We removed the back wall (cardboard), advice is to put another shelf against it for stability. We left the nails in place to take care of this. No need. The drawers slide very well, no breaks in the systems and the drawers close more than fine.
