A very expressive landscape in oblong form, acrylic on linen and finished with varnish to preserve the bright colors. The linen is stretched in an aluminum frame, so the canvas always retains its tautness. Ans Duin paints landscapes in eyecatching colors. Her working method is as follows, first the idea of the landscape is formed, the canvas is first painted with white or sometimes black gesso, then the shapes are lightly indicated and after that she starts applying the first layer, so several layers follow. Once the paint is thoroughly dry, the landscape is filled in with thousands of small dots, pointillism, creating depth in the landscape, this takes a tremendous amount of time and patience, but the result is beautiful.
