Cubist painting of nude women in the bath, reminiscent of Paul Cezanne's Bathers and Henri Matisse's Bathers. André Léon Chabert was a French painter and designer of posters and advertising. He was born in Grenoble on February 6, 1895. A pupil of landscape painter André Albertin, he regularly exhibited landscapes in oil and watercolor at the Salon de la Société des Amis des Arts in his native town from 1919. He combined his artistic career with his professional activity as an architect. André Léon died in Grenoble on January 20, 1961.
