Blow Up The bowl by Alessi , reminiscent of Mikado, is based on the idea of welding hypothetical pieces of steel wire together to create different container shapes.
All objects in the Alessi Blow Up collection bear the unmistakable signature of the Brazilian brothers Campana. The seemingly random arrangement of the individual metal rods, reminiscent of a Mikado game or explosions, results sometimes in a bowl, sometimes in a plate or a fruit basket. Also interesting is the vivid geometric play of shadows that arises depending on the incidence of light.
Humberto and Fernando Campana chose mirror-polished 18/10 stainless steel as the material for the " Blow Up " objects.
