d Snijders (Eindhoven, May 12, 1929 - there, February 25, 2010) was a Dutch painter, draftsman, collagist and sculptor. His work has been shown in, among others, the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Fodor and the Van Abbemuseum.
Beautiful work on paper by Ad Snijders. Large and imposing. 140 x 100 cm.
Snijder's styles varied between expressionism, figurative art and abstract art.
He held his first exhibition at the age of twenty and continued to exhibit in the most prominent galleries and museums throughout his life. His work can also be seen in many museums and private collections. Altogether he exhibited three times in the Krabbedans and five times in the Van Abbemuseum, including in 1970. In addition, his work could be seen in the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, the Museum Fodor and the Museum Jan Cunen in Oss.
Provenance: The painting comes from the artist's studio.
