This Poul Cadovius Abstracta wall unit is in very good condition with normal signs of use, all tubes and shelves have been cleaned and polished. This wall system is completely demountable and can be arranged as you see fit. It consists of black painted metal tubes of 33, 45 and 79 cm lengths that are joined together with connectors. This system has 1 teak shelf and 7 colored metal shelves. 1 green shelf shows some spots where the lacquer is damaged, see photos.

In 1962, Poul Cadovius (1911 - 2011) designed the functional and very stylish Abstracta System. The idea was that modern people, need modern furniture to meet today's architectural demands in modern homes.
The design has numerous combination possibilities and color and material options such as glass, teak and metal. The 13mm round steel tubes are held together with connectors. The slim design is very stable without additional supporting parts, making it unique. The Abstracta system is suitable for any room in the home, office or store. Over the years, the Abstracta system has won many design awards and has been included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York since 1967.
