ABSOLUTELY WORLD CLASS. The Cooper rocking chair was presented for the first time at the 1851 World's Fair in England. This rocking chair includes the original ottoman, which is very rare. The company RW Winfield specialized in metal furniture, especially beds, and applied for several patents for the construction of beds and sofas made of iron tubes between 1827 and 1854. Her stand at the 1851 exhibition included a tubular brass display chair similar to this one. At the London International Exhibition of 1862, they showed another example made of brass strip, and we own the very first version of the Rocking Chair, which means that our rocking chair does not yet have the wooden slats in the back of the knee, this chair still has the steel struts there. In addition, we still have the extremely rare original ottoman in the same green leather and design. Unfortunately, the leather (especially on the surface of the ottoman) is somewhat worn. In our opinion, the chair itself has just the right patina. Dimensions: 61 cm wide, 110 cm high and 91 cm deep.
