Kazuhide Takahama is the designer of the Tule chair, a 1968 design, manufacture Simón Milano. Takahama was a Japanese designer born 1930 in Tokyo, died 2010. He studied architecture an the University of Tokyo before going to work for his father's design firm Takahama Industry Corporation. 1955 he moved toMilan to work for the Italian design firm Gavina.
Takahama won prestigious awards, he is considered one of the most influential designers of his generation and helped shape modern Italian design. The Tulu chair is in the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
