The aluminum parts are connected with Chrome knee sleeves. Functionalism in further development of the explicit Bauhaus reincarnation. Similar to other successful designers of his time (Charles Eames, Arne Jacobsen, Dieter Rams and many more), Moeckl sought harmony between reduced, clear forms and high-quality, timeless materials. It is no coincidence and an expression of the design and its time that Moeckl, like Charles Eames, uses the same elements, Aluminium, Chrome and Leather , in the aluminum chairs he produces to this day. The cubist Design is based on designs such as Le Corbusier with his LC1 chair, with strong references to the Bauhaus . The effect of these pieces is Modern and timeless. The chair forms the basis of an entire design line that Ernst Moeckl designed for the manufacturer Lübke at the beginning of the 1960s. In the so-called structural engineering group, chairs, Armchairs, Tables and reception furniture were created using modular construction. Moeckl finally received the IF Design Award in 1968 for this chair. The structure is simple but high quality. The oval Aluminium tubes are connected with chrome-plated connectors and create enormous stability and stability. The seats and backrests were covered with high-quality, thick cowhide. The Leather is slightly grained, very easy to grip and has a subtle shine. Solid precious wood in a dark reddish tone was used for the armrests. It is probably rosewood. Since it is a strongly grained Wood with a very characteristic pattern, Tone and color vary from chair to chair. This creates an individual effect in the ensemble. You can clearly see that these are high-quality individual pieces. Each chair has its own character, but fits harmoniously into the group. Fits perfectly in combination with originals from Cassina, Vitra, Classicon, Knoll. The armrests are very comfortable to grip and the oiled Wood feels natural and high quality, unlike clear lacquered surfaces. The condition of the chairs is excellent for their age. You can safely fit them into a modern, impeccably maintained environment. Of course, the Leather acquires a patina over time, which enhances the value of the pieces and makes them lively. Of course, the Leather is completely intact, neither porous nor cracked and not faded. The Aluminium looks almost like new. Very few traces of time. Width. 62cm Height. 82cm Depth. 62cm To the estimated value. With these classics you are certainly making a sustainable investment in addition to their functionality. The prices for originals of the time are constantly rising. These chairs have already been sold at the Lauritz auction house for €500 each. There are eight chairs available. Six are being sold.
