Tapio Wirkkala was a Finnish graphic artist, interior architect and designer. From 1952 to 1957, he worked for the Iittala glass factory, which became internationally renowned thanks to Wirkkala's and, above all, Alvar Aalto's designs. He then worked for Rosenthal.
